dodgy stuff on ebay

I get it. the guy selling it today bought it from the last dodgy seller, has probably made a few copies, and is trying to sell it on at a profit?
OR, is it the same seller under a new identity (given the low feedback score)?

Soooooo, if somebody bought them, could they be done for 'receiving stolen goods'?, because surely anyone that bought them would know what they were for and would know that they were copyrighted items? as I say, just a thought

Hmm, not sure if it would be handling stolen goods, conspiring to commit offences would be the one i think. In any case, as far as i know there is no such thing as "aiding and abetting" now, you would be charged with the same offence as the principle offender. So, whatever he is charged with, so will you be!! Best i do not buy one then.
Still, with the government now wanting to spy on everyones emails etc etc, will we all be arrested soon for "incitement" because we all have a common interest in things electrical, and we did all look at ebay, and so we are all going to jail!!!!
Looking on the bright side, perhaps the prison library have a copy we can borrow!!!!

Auctions used to be a way of fencing stolen stuff. As an example you buy job lot, lots or the boxes of assorted ***** tucked in the corner and then claim thats where all your stuff came from. Doesn't really work on ebay

I always believed that British Standards should be available free to anyone - that way any interested party could check that a job had been done correctly.
BS7671 should be free as a download - and if a bound book is needed then charged accordingly.
If this was a good pdf then I could sympathise with anyone buying it and printing it off rather than lining the pockets of the iee - who actually charge more for a legit download than it costs to buy the book! Probably the only book in the world that costs more as an electronic copy! Seems to me they've already factored in the risk of this happening.
