As above.
Thanks
Thanks
Thats much the same as I stated about these boards in my post in the review section of the forum . I've installed 3 or 4 now and all but the last one had this problem & the terminals on the mcb's dont take to much before de-threading..........if the BG your refering to is British General I'd advise not to use them to be honest!I've installed a couple within the last couple of months for customers on tight budgets but they are C R A P!
The earth and Neutral bars strip very easily when you tighten the screws because they're not tapped properly and the screws are just say in there on a couple of threads, took me ages to fit them as I had to start re-tapping all the holes with a stainless steel bolt before I used the brass ones!
For a budget board, go for a CHnT, they are well made and pretty durable but sometimes the casings twist if they aren't sitting perfectly flush when fixing.
:Saluteedmundsons 59+vat for wylex 10way with 8mcbs of your choice.I dont use the cheaper boards.
Unless the customer tries to lower my price
If you were interested in an MK board...B&Q have 10way inc' 2xRCD, 1x40A, 4x32A, 2x16A, 3x6A @
Indeed..I picked up one of those MK boards myself at the weekend. Value for money and room for a bit of profit there too.
The mcb's and rcd's are easy to come by for these boards.Indeed..I picked up one today for a Job on Thursday!
It is surprising how many customers know names like... "MK" and "Crabtree"
and do associate them with Quality!?
