A couple of mornings in the last couple of weeks my jack russell has been baulking in the mornings with a little bit of bile coming up, other than this he seems perfectly fine and we have not changed his diet in the last 5 yrs. Is this a sign of something a bit serious or another of his quirks we have to put up with :)

I will give the standard disclaimer that it's impossible to say without seeing the dog, but doesn't sound too serious.

If it carried on you could get him checked at the vets.

Could just be the cold weather - is it when he goes out in the cold and snow?

I am not a vet and no expert, but providing this condition does not persist it is very normal.

Dogs will eat anything, regardless of what you feed them, and what you do not .

They do get upset stomacks just like us, this often is seen when they start eating grass, or leaves etc.

You will start to worry if they lose weight, go off their food or you see a sudden change in their behaviour.

As GH says - some dogs do some random stuff that the books don't say they should. The important thing to notice is a change in your dog. That is more important.

If this has just come on in the last few weeks and the dog is at least 5 years old it may not be normal for your dog! (but it might ;) )

My dog limps sporadically. I have poked her and prodded her but just put it down to 'normal Minky'.

Is it not the poking and prodding that makes her limp?

Yeah it would appear I had a luxating rcd recently.

So Vets and Electricians have a lot in common, only we charge less!

Only Joking you know I am.
