I have done the answers, just want to check them now. I have an idea if they are wrong/right etc but just want to double check.

In terms of fire precautions its the responsibility of an emploter to ensure:

all work areas fireproof

adeqaute means of escape and fire fighting

all materials used in the workplace are non-flammable

recorded daily inspections to ensure no fire risks

what does isolation protect?:

damage to cable and components

interruption of system

electric shock

damage to appliances

what needs to be reported under riddor:

fractures

split nails

minor injuries to face

major injuries

trades and employer associations within the elec industry are responsible for:

inspecting all completed installation work

finding employment for redundant workers

preparing statutory regs for the industry

maintaing standards within the industry

to complete an installation a sparky would be provided with:

wiring diagram and spec

site plan and circuit

circuit and service manual

assembly and detail drawing

My answers are in bold

Thanks

agree with everything apart from one minor detail

RIDDOR would be major injuries, but a fracture may not be! iirc, if its a fracture to a finger/thumb, then its not reportable RIDDOR (or something like this. been a while since college)

Thanks! I got 26/30 would have 27 but i thought riddor was for fractures, didnt realise it was major injuries as i havent learnt unit 2 yet, there was a place at college on the 2nd year of the level 2 2330 so havent actually learnt the unit 201 and 202 but 26/30 aint too bad for first time, Might post some more up if i get stuck

Thanks! :)

Got another one:

A mass of 20 kg is to be raised by a hoist 2 m in 30 seconds. Assuming no losses, the power required to raise this load is

what formula do i use? My first instinct is to use p=wt but im not sure if its w=fd too, what is the correct formula?

now if work = force * distance

work = mass * 9.81 * distance

work = 20 * 9.81 * 2

work = 392.4Joules

1 watt is 1 joule per second

so 392.4J/30 seconds

= 13.08W
