Door Contacts For Alarm Cables

are these wired seperately from the alarm panel for example 2 door contacts 2 cables in the alarm panel?

Not usually r.b  they're wired in series with whatever is on that particular zone .

Soo it could be ,say, ground floor,  door contacts in series with shock sensors and passives to form ,say, Zone 1 .

Unless its an EE route then they are separate

The new Texecom elite panel lets you wire 2 zones from the RKP.......F handy

Also, some specifications want every detector on its own zone. No right or wrong way.  I normally wire each detector/contact etc separately back to the panel then they can be connected as needed.  There are other systems that use one cable looping round  all the detectors and a 'Biscuit' is fitted into each device that ID's it.
