Hello

I have been asked to change five lights in a bungalow that has had a loft conversion with three rooms upstairs.

The house was built in 1964. Not sure when the extension was added.

The is no continuity on the cpc of the lighting circuit. Most of the lighting is wired in twin and earth but the hallway is wired in singles. Most of the lights that I have taken off the ceiling have cpcs. I cannot get to a lot of the wiring because of the extension.

The owners are pensioners so they won

If this is a bungalow the lighting circuit can be tested and corrected without much hassle, without the need for a rewire.

99% of under cabinet lights are DI, get the biggest size you can, i think they do 4 footers.
