prefered method.... i want to install 6 downlights and extractor fan into bathroom from existing lighting circuit should i daisy chain them or J/B in loft ?

Whatever is easiest, taking into account you will probably need a permanent live as well as a switched live for the fan, and how accessible will the JB be now and in the future.

Choose downlighters then look at the terminals. Some are a bitch / impossible to get two t&e cables in.  Then decide your wiring method.  As long as the JB remains accessible or if not is maintenance free.

I keep a box or 2 in the van as stock.

I use a lot of those Click Flow connectors....very well thought out product

i also use the Click Inceptor and Inceptor micro...all complete with the connector.

another favourite is the PAL ALL in one fitting...dimmable, IP, 4 bezels, onboard switchable between CW,DW,WW very handy when customer changes their mind. Also means I only need to stock one fitting to cover all, options

I have fitted a few of the Loxa multiple bezel affairs, also with a connector. For the price they are pretty good.
