guys, have just had a meeting today with a chap who has been let down by his electrician, wants me to price 2 new builds for him, only prob is he needs the quotes first thing tomoro as there due to be started.

im ok with everything else, but they are requesting downlights that are obvioulsy fire rated and also ones that can be covered by insulation. i believe snaplite and aurora do such fittings, but they are closed so cant get a price from anywhere at such short notice.

does anyone know anywhere that i may be able to get a price online? to allow me to meet this deadline?

many thanks in advance

Try screwfix there in line with the wholsalers i use price wont be far out hope this helps

i know the covers are about

cheers guys, have just spoken to the customer, they have specified they specifically want snaplite , so guess its a quick call to them in the morning, and double the price in which i could get normal lights and covers for.

cheers once again

Cheapest internet site i have come across yet - beats screwfix, cpc and all that lot, delivery charge of

1/ Avoid builders after a "Rush Job" or "Rush Quote" cuz mr 'xzy' let them down!!

Any builder who cannot plan a job correctly and get quotes and costs together with a reasonable timescale is most probably an incompetent idjust who will create difficulties throughout the job and when payments are due!!

2/ Cost for spotlights..

Just pick reasonable figure..

e.g. look for any suitable lamp from Screwfix or TLC etc.. and stuff and extra

hi, ok maybe i need to make myself a little clearer.

the electrician who was doing the work has for unfortunate reasons, which isnt really my place to discuss had to let the customer down. I have done many properties for this chap in the past, normally hes building so many houses at different locations that he has myself and another electrician doing them to complete with in his time scale.

he has requested snaplite chrome 12v lights x 12 , this is for the reason that these can safely be covered in loft insulation, without the need for any caps etc to be fitted. both properties are on the same site. The builder is also the customer, he builds his own properties to rent out.
