Well have been back to this property to have a look at the rest of the DL's see what you think of these 10 DL's over one bedroom

Any idea what this is all about ?:|

What were they thinking "One joist is just not going to spoil my nice holes" 3 in a row

Apparently he was a decorator, well that's a surprise X(

Deffinatly must have shares with jb manufacturer. Why oh why do people get idiots to do jobs costs them double in the end.

You could fit GU10 cfl's and then fit hoods to them to keep the insulation off them, remove the one in the joist completely and sort joist by sistering a length of 3x2 to it.

That's 3 in this one joist, so about 3m of joist has been compromised

very much depends on what the customer can afford to do, as there is no inexpensive solution if they want 400mm of insulation

1) replace 24 DL's with Snaplights inc standoff's (sort out wiring mess)

2) Remove, replace with pendants, make good holes in ceiling

It's likely they will leave as is and not bother with insulation

Now if you were fitting a row of pendants you'd never hit that joist in a million years!

How true, seriously though, it's hard to believe what has been done there.
