Anyone familiar with setting up Draytek Vigor routers?

I have had one for a while now, a couple of years perhaps.

It has suffered from intermittent drop out's of Wi-Fi, Draytek answer is always update the FW to the latest version.

So, now I keep updating it.

Been getting ISP access issues also recently.

I updated the FW yesterday, and have lost now the 2nd  Wi-Fi SSID.

I have one "secure" SSID, and one "guest".

The "secure" SSID runs all of our "business" computers at home, the "guest" SSID, runs my lads gaming computer, the kids iPhones, their friends phones etc. and just gives internet access.

Now, the "guest" SSID is there, but nothing can connect.

I have tried creating a new "guest" SSID on a different ID no. still no joy.

Thinking about going back on the FW to see if it cures it?

Any ideas anyone?

Please...

so it wasnt broken, you 'fixed' it, and now its broken?

other than that, i have no idea. its not something stupid like wifi turned off, or all MAC address deleted so it wont allow them access?

can you undo the FW update and see if that fixes it? maybe a bug in that?

I am looking at going back a few FW levels, but the FW has been out a few months now.

Still trying...

Oh, and yes it was broken, as it kept shutting the wi-fi down, well at least disconnecting clients anyway.

OK, after about 6 hours yesterday & today, got it working.

No I don't know what I did, exactly.

I re-configured the router from scratch ignoring the original settings to create a "new" 2nd SSID with the same spec as the original.

However, started with no security, and got one device connected, then added WPA2 and a password, the same device connected.

So started connecting other devices, which worked, it was a bit slow at first but now seems quite quick.

Figure that out!

Thanks anyway, sorted now.
