So the lesson to be learned here is;

When asking a question be as thorough as possible with the information that you provide so others are able to give an informed response which may then assist with leading you to your answer.

Forums are a strange habitat as many variants of the same creature dwell there, it is how we present ourselves that leads to the responses we get. If we are clear and concise then we will hopefully attract a clear and concise respondant.

Only saying! Peace be to all.

An illustration may help, If I have a piece of cable of unknown CSA approx 25m long, what do you suggest the R1+R2 values may be. Any person asking an incomplete question on a forum, then moaning that they cannot get any answer, may appear to be working well out of their abilities?

Doc H.

guys ll me if have three 3 phase boards one of which is suppling the other 2

and its a TT system with a new electrode with a reading of 43.3 at the supply board

wat sor os reading should i get at the other two boards and then at one of the sockets
Ra+R1R2 of submain, and R1R2 of final circuit, although parallel paths will probably bring the reading down a bit
OK, lets say that your TT installation has a Ra of say 50ohms (at the rod, disconnected from the installation) , now you connect the rod to the board and your Zdb becomes 5ohms due to parallel earth paths through the PEBs etc

So your Zdb at the sub DBs will end up being the Zdb (at the main DB) + your (R1+R2) of the sub main feeding that DB
