Electronic dimmer

Hi folks, I'm after an electronic dimmer that dims 240v lamps via a 12v control?

So it has a 240v supply in, 240v supply out and a 5-12v control.

I can't find one, I though they would be quite common, its from an extract hood that uses a control panel to dim its lights. It looks similar to a standard downlight tranny.

I have just replaced a Luxmate PDAX 500VA tranny that works like that. In my case it was connected to a touch screen system . It only cost

This only needs to be 40VA, so surely should be less than 10% of the cost

is there a technical name for these types of dimmers, because they aren't really a transformer.

Have you not tried your local wholesalers? Thats where we got ours from the last we fitted some. Think it was Edmundsons
