I am aware that FREE ELECTRON is a rapid motion around the Nucleus ,

Can anyone give me an idea of what is BONDED ELECTRON.

LOL : is it a bond or a bunch of electrons slowly running around the Nucleus( I am really ?:| ? :| ?:| )

Cheers everyone

Not quite!

First thing is - nobody knows if electrons actually exist. They are only a theory. But assuming they do exist

The bonded electrons are sitting happily with their atoms arranged in rings, they can move from one ring to the other and they spin. Think of electrons in non-conductors this way.

Free electrons are able to move between atoms - but you can't deplete a atom of it's electron without giving it a charge (the atom becomes positive as the electron is negatively charged). The atom therefore needs negative charge to become neutral and happy. This is how we get an electrical current flowing - atoms in series donating and gaining electrons.

This is very simplistic way of looking at it see wiki for more detail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron
