hi all,

I need to find a suitable (and cheap) enclosure that can be used externally to house a fused isolator and some henley blocks. It will be used to take another feed from an existing cutout to a run of swa.

Thanks.

D.

Hi

I use the eldon MAS range

for example a 400x300x155 enclosure would be pt no MAS0403015

( or something close )

Most wholesalers will do these or himel or rittall or sarel equivalents

Hope this helps

Carl

Just out of interest what cable are you going to use between the main cu and the outside switch fuse?

Hi there,

Main CU?

I will be connecting the fused isolator into the existing tails.

If I can butt up the new enclosure to the cutout box then I will use 25mm tails, otherwise 25mm swa.

Oh ok sorry-thought you meant you were placing the switchfuse as a means to another cu in say a garage-not directly as a radial for garden.

Thanks

hi there,

The fused isolator will be used to feed a cu for a garage/office.

More I think about it.... I'm going down the route of a weatherproof CU, with a 45A or 50A breaker.

Saves all the hassle of an enclosure, with switched fused isolator. If the Zs is ok, I'll use a Type C (to provide some form of discrimation on tripping times - Even though the end CU will only have 32A or less in there).
