BUT they also seem to have a culture of absent fathers ( I could be talking ****e about that, there's hardly any black people where I live).so lack good role models for their own youth.
That is a most pertinent point Binky . You say there,s hardly any black folk by you ..well its the opposite here and I can verify that theres a vast number of single mother families who are black , theres some kind of culture with males to impregnate as many girls as possible then move on . There will be no financial burden as that falls upon society .
Asians on the other hand seem to hold on to family values , as my Sikh neighbour on the other side does.
A black person in Britain in 2019 is as equal as anyone these days but I think it suits some of them to play the race card & just draw their benefit money .
Sir Trevor McDoughnut is a highly respected & much liked media personality , as are our many black sports men & women , black players in the England Football squad are there because of the skills they have to offer .
I don't think the likes of Lenny Henry (also a Sir) help much . He changed from an entertainer , comedian , actor , pleasant enough guy but now bangs on about being black at every opportunity . This constant referral to the differences between us instead of the similarities does not help .
I can understand feelings in the US being different ..the land of the free..unless you're black and live in the confederate states . Media footage from the 1950s & 60s makes you cringe ....but ...... they just had a black president so things DO change .
