I supplied and fitted an electric fire for a landlord 6 months ago.

i had to go back today and replace the lamp

i see a lamp as a consumable with a non fixed life expectancy

i think its chargeable.........what do guys you think ????

Yes thats a consumable item Theo, I had an elderly customer who asked Comet/ Currys to replace the lamp in her 6 month old cooker. They said no , lamp not covered by guarantee, which seems fair to me.

consumable - charge them

maybe next time he phones and asks for you to replace the lamp, tell them lamps are consumables and you will be charged

If you bought a new build house and a lamp blew in the living room after 2 months would you ask the company to replace it?

Of course not! Damn cheapo landlords! :(
