hi guy's

just writing out an estimate at the moment, to change a consumer unit and install an out door light, and trying to work out what to charge.

It is a two bedroom flat and at the moment only has to circuits. one lighting and one power. planning to install a 6 way cu, earthing is all ok,

any ideas on what u would charge ?

i was thinking of just using mcb's to keep the material cost down, is the 350 just labour or the whole job?

You need to include RCD protection ( 17th ed Crap)

I could give you a price but you've seen the job . You need to charge for the day , so how much do want for a days work ?

I went for RCBO as you only have 2x circuits..... for the size of property testing isnt going to take long & the cu cost is minimal being a small unit so if

to be fair your probably going to have this board changed and tested in half a day with it only being 2 circuits. So i'd go for 250 on that, and between 100-150 for the light depending on difficulty.

40quid for a board with rcbos? I suppose those cheaper cpn boards are about that price.

not knocking you thoery, I use those boards when a Dual split wont fit.

i have an assessment next week i will take a pic of where i used a 5 way

you wont believe it !!!!
