how many stories of 40 year old light-bulbs have you heard over the years??? a fovourite gadget from a few years ago was a simple capacitor fitted to light fitting that chopped spikes off mains supply and claimed to make light bulbs last many years longer....sounds like some modern products like V Phase. :slap
