Escort did ............rain blew the fuseboard up onetime It was parked outside the garage/ stores / headquarters / workshop one rainy night , can be seen from the house ........Missus looks out at midnight ,,says "You left the lights on the van" Dash up in the rain , light switch is off , lights are on & smoke is rising from under the bonnet in the battery area
Rip off the leads & so to bed

Am on my second one from work the last one was unbearable, clunks rattles and bangs everything was knackered steering, brakes and suspension. It didn't help that previous spark had crashed it and nobody had thought to get it fixed I also snapped 2 rear springs after a trip to Travis perkins. :lol: funnily enough it was an 03 1.7 di.
The current one (133k) is a Bentley in comparison but leaks in the back and passenger footwell also has a fair few electrical gremlins that are worse when it rains :lol:
