Feeding cable through insulation

In all fairness using that size of cable will be fine and using LED lighting will have a low load meaning volt drop isn't an issue (I have considered this and run a few calculations) and the thermal insulation really won't come into play due to the loading.

So you don’t like the answer I was given? Was the answer wrong? I’ve been posting for about 3 days now. I’m kind of just looking to have my question simplified and answered as can or can I not do it. If 1mm is unsafe I’m not going to keep that, but if it is safe as I’ve been told I’d like to keep it as it’s going to save me a massive headache
