Hi there would like to ask your views on the fein multi master was looking at buying one to make my life a bit easier all the work i do is domestic mainly kitchens where there is alot of raggling involved usually use a angle grinder with a dimond blade for chasing and for chasing boxes very dusty tho and sds drill now i know how well the fein can cut through wood etc for lifting floors oh how i hate chipboard lol but can u use it for chasing in to plaster and brick walls and where is the best place to buy one ? thanks chris

I've got a Bosch PMF180E... basically the same as a Fein, but cheaper.. and they can use the same blades (when it comes to replacing it I will be getting the FEIN)

There are several blades

Wood

Metal

Bi-metal

& RIFF

The Riff blade can be used on ceramic tiles and soft plaster.. it is no good for brick, render or scratch coat, but it is great for plasterboard, skim and bonding... when you use it in these senarios it doesn't create much airborne dust (it drops to the floor)

As for where to buy one I got mine from Axtminster tools, but that was a while ago.

HTH

Maybe not worth me buying one then cause i could only see my self using it for lifting boards etc What tasks do you use it to daily cause i really like the look of it could free up some space in the van get rid of the circular saw jigsaw and recip saw

I use mine as well as the circular saw, jigsaw and reciprocating saw. They all have their uses, the Multimaster is a luxury tool once you have the others IMO. You wouldn;t manage with just the Fein, well, not easily anyway. Depends what you're doing with it, I'd not get rid of any of them now In have them all, but the Multimaster wouldn;t have been at the top of the list if I had none of them.

Great tool but won't be up to wall chasing. Good for all kinds of jobs. Sinking back boxes in plasterboard has become a breeze. Got mine from my local tool specialist.

i use a chaser with extractor for the both it was around
