Got my Fica test re-sit on wednesday, i only failed on fault diagnosis the first time.

so i have a few questions,

i no that there caan only be 3 faults in wiring, reversed polarity, open circuit and a short circuit, now im ok if its a a ring or radial i no how to find the fault but im a bit confused on how to do it if its lighting.

as i had 2 of these in my first test i would like to know the definitive way step by step on how to find a fault in a lighting circuit.

if anybody has 5 minutes to even explain it in general that would be great!

First off; read the On-Site Guide on testing procedures.

Look at the method of testing on radial or lighting

circuits and become familiar with the procedures for

testing for R1/R2. Read further and see how this method

is used to test for polarity in these circuits.

Once you have done this you will become familiar with

faults in lighting circuits, however they are switched.

perfect thank you very much!

i will find my on site guide tonight and read like theres no 2moro!
