A customer has asked me to fit fire hoods to all of their downlighters in their bungalow. Not strictly necessary as into unoccupied loft - but probably prudent.

Customer will want to board the loft area at a later date.

I've never fitted fire hoods before - so does anyone have any recommends of what to use bearing in mind that I've got good access above for most lights and they probably shouldn't be too deep if he wants to board it at later date.

There are 22 to fit - so any guidance on time to fit would be appreciated.

Cheers

Dave how deep are the joists. I think you may have probs with most fire hoods due to depth.Batty
It's the obvious question - but this request came out of the blue - I'd advised them that strictly speaking the fire hoods weren't needed - so I haven't actually seen the loft area. However - the bungalow looks substantial so I would predict 4-6 inches as a depth.

I would get exact measurement then you can work out what you can use.
