Flourescent tube ratings

The current tiles are really old so I can't replace them - although there is talk of replacement at some point.

I'd give them the options. The tiles to fill the gaps don;t have to match, or you could use a few tiles from one area to fill in the gaps and then stick a patch of new ones together somewhere.

I have never checked this for myself but have always believed that fluorescent fittings without a tube still consume the same power , if not more. This may apply only to the really old fittings whose chokes would get very hot without tubes. Deke

remove feed to unused ballast and it wont use power
