Test kit packed in today, showing 'Error Code 1'. After a quick browse on the internet it seems that there could be a problem with the board and I'm looking at a

Try pm megger mark. He's a forum sponsor and is isswww.co.uk. Some of his employees are ex fluke so will be able to sort you out mate and might even get forum discount. Hth

+1 to that.

I had this issue last year - MeggerMark was the man who had it sorted for me.....

As I understand it, there are 2 reasons for an error code 1. One of them is expensive; the other isn`t as costly, iirc ;)

Speak to the man - he can sort it for you :) :)

n.b. The 3.10 at chichester - "Cutek", "Martin" and "Dale" on a triple ;)

We do see a fair few error 1's, and as Kme say's their is two types!!

A basic way of telling which version you have is....

When you switch it on if you can clearly here relays clicking (clunking) then that is the expensive version, if you can't here them then clearly its the other.

Is the unit older then 3 years?

If not it could be under warrenty.

Well, it clunks away like my old van used to, so it seems that it is the expensive version. Ah well. Not under warranty either, I've had it for more than 3 years. Didn't have time to ring Flukes service people today, too busy. Reading over one of the previous threads on Fluke repairs, you have said you have to send some repairs back to Fluke as you wouldn't be able to get the parts needed. Would this be one of those cases?

gary_b,

If you want the unit repaired trust us, MeggerMark is your man, he will NOT rip you off, coz if he did we'd send the boyz round, and the Godfather is still here somewhere!.

Horses heads and all that!

Seriously mate he looks after forum members you'll find loads of good reports about him on here.

Not all from me either, he is also linked with a big name in the industry so he is no fly by night either.

No link to me either, just a satisfied customer.

HTH.

Paul
