Saturday is the 2nd anniversary of this Forum and I don't know about others but I think it would be a good thing to mark it with a contribution . Think about it guys, there are some like me who just like to log in , get insulted by You-Know- Who, see how other practicers of the dark arts are getting along , show off my computer skills,
confused-smiley-17432.gif
learn something new and maybe help someone with their query .

Its better than watching Eastenders !!

A lot of the guys who are new to the trade have said they have ,and are still, learning a lot on here from the likes of ( longest answers in the world) Specs , Andy , The Mad Vet, more recently, Lurchio , The Whingeing Wasp ( Oh sorry , Green Hornet) and loads of others who, I suspect, enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience.

But as I noted in an earlier post , not too many of us actually help out with a contribution and these Forums don't fund themselves , so how about marking the anniversary with a contribution to make sure it keeps running and doing the excellent job it has already.

Every little helps , I'm sure we all know that some guys are struggling in these times , some are learning and paying out fees, some not working at all, just do your best, and as John Lennon once said, the ones at the front could rattle their jewellery.

So lets ensure that this friendly Forum can continue , (and Steps can buy more hay for Hercules) and mark Saturday in a positive way.

As Mr Churchill said :- Never in the field of Forum hosting, has so much been owed, by so many, to so few.

And if the Electrical contracting industry lasts for a thousand years, they will still say that THIS WAS THEIR FINEST HOUR. :good night:

No problem Specs, I'll be spreading those sheets with the best of 'em soon . Had no offers to design websites yet ... strange that ... the three of us are Guru,s now ,Steps said.

There's a slow response.

Everyone must be watching the Football or out Watching the Rugby. :_|

There are not many people on line ATM.

Well the ANNIVERSARY has now passed , I was hoping for a positive response towards the upkeep of a Forum that provides a valuable service, but seeing Patchey's post on the other thread it looks to be dissapointing . ITS NOT TOO LATE TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION OF A GREAT FORUM YOU KNOW. :) :)

Theres a post by me from way back ,when I logged in to the wrong forum , I muttered on about feeling like Frodo wandering about lost in Mordor ,not seeing the friendly names and avatars as found on here . There was some sort of political upset on the other forum which became known as the Dark Side, a sizeable contingent appeared on here but some brought with them a certain attitude which tended to cause bad feelings , I think newbies and guys learning tended to be ridiculed for asking basic questions .

Think they moved on after a short while , some may have had the boot !!

What I'm saying ,in a long winded way, is that there is a first class exchange of knowledge, help and assistance on here and it would be a shame not have it .
