So, why do some of you (I'm no exception), spend hours on the forum, posting as much as possible?

(And I'll answer my own question another night)

Whats the attraction to you, the smaller percentage of the forum users??

Is this one for me?

I honestly don't care what my post count reads! Although I am one of the more frequent posters.

I sign in when I am online and see what's happening. If I can help anyone (rarely) I try to. :|

I also find this place quite fun and entertaining.

I don't just sit here with this forum open in a darkened room refreshing the page looking for new posts! I have a number of other sites open (ATM facebook, Ebay, Amazon, Hotmail, Google).

I also am half watching TV!

I am on duty so I can't go out, me she'd cold and I can't drink and this forum cost me nothing! (other than a donation for the upkeep of the village hall

They do and thats all that matters.

um, I kinda have a quick look round before bed, after the chores are done an Im quaffing the last beer or so.

dunno if i qualify to being on a lot, bit hit and miss with me i think, cos even if Aggie is on computer doing something I will be online here I suppose the way my web opens,(always opens this and google on 2 tabs when I spark FF).!

my hit count aint really that high for length of time i been here is it.?

Why does one spend hours on a forum?????

I might look like I'm on for hours but I usually stay logged in all day whilst I'm at work! You won't see me much in the evenings or weekends which is when I'm doing the real stuff (electrickery!).

I don't have the aim of posting as much as possible but I do enjoy reading all the different forums and if something sparks me to respond, I do. I've probably given x10 more scoobs than I have written posts

This is just such a nice, helpful and friendly virtual place to be :x

(do I get a scoob for that?! :^O )

Night Shift

Im in and out most of the time so i would have a look during the day and if i am aloud come out after dark

I don't post that much as by the time I've got an answer ready and can back it uo with regs etc someone else has always beaten me too it. However I think its a great place for us less experienced to learn and listen to the masters of our craft. I personnally have learnt loads and got some real good help form you people. Apache is superb with his links and some of his comments do make me laugh. He's even been able to give me advice about a subject he specialises (of sorts in). So without all you I'd be sat in a darkened room somewhere banging my head against the wall. And it beats all that s**t they put on telly these days.

I have a look most days but dont post everyday though i used to on the darkside

I dont drink much for health reasons and i like to come on and read that someone has had a worse day than me,makes me feel better:^O

Allso being self employed its a good place to double check with someone as to certain things if your not too sure .Guiness Drink

Why do some you visit this or other forums with such regualarity?

Is it fun, social, to get help, boredom, escapism or a combination of reasons?.....

A bit of everything really, I get sound advice from helpful members (here and elsewhere), I get a lot laughter out of the forums (and that's a good thing).

I aslo like to help others and it's nice to get the books out (for the regs etc) and trawl the internet to find an answer for the OP...

I also like to think we are one big cyber family (warts and all).... :^O

(Perhaps the only negative about the forums (not here) is being hounded (trolled) or disrepectful abuse...)

Its good to converse with fellow sparks , we deal with the same trials and tribulations on a daily basis. Its good if you can help someone out . Theres a nice line in humour on here and a friendlyness that comes off the page.

I started looking after typing up a couple of invoices and the missus is watching the soaps. Not too many invoices though , these days , so lets see how others are doing on the forum . Deke
