Had a look in the FAQ but couldnt find the answer to this -

when I post a thread or reply to one, and then click the 'Get New posts' button, it disappears for an hour or so.

Is it just me? surely this board isnt set so every reply is vetted by a mod? Its bl**dy huge!

***edit** sure enough, yes it has just happened with this one too. i had to go to my user control panel to find it and do this edit. Wonder if itll happen again?

***double edit**** and again! lmao this could go on for a while, ever looked between 2 mirrors? :^O

The "Get new posts" button only retrieves posts that contain replies that you haven't read yet.

So if you start a thread or are the last post then you won't se it again until someone else replies to it!

You have already seen your own post, so from your point of view there are no new posts in the thread, therefore it won't show when you click get new posts.

If you click on search (top right) then find posts by username. Just put yours in and all the posts you've posted on will come up mate.

Hello sprocketflup, Your apparent disappearing post has already answered, but I would just confirm that posts are not vetted prior to appearing on the forum. As you say, it would be a full time job reading everything and totally impractical to operate. We do rely on self moderation by all of our members and use of the "Report post" function if undesirable posts are noted. Once again I thank all of our members for helping us identify posts that require attention.
