cant say ive ever seen a CU like that. obviously designed for a specific purpose. may be worth finding out more about it (so you know what its for) then ebay it

and here is the connectors that are used

(note: the pic is of a plug, but the description is socket - they must only have the plug pic for both plug & socket)

and the plug that would fit into it

Looks wierd to me , where would you use it ? Are those plugs in the top ?

Chuck it away :C
yes plugs at the top,

the connector is plastic but the female part of the connector that the plug gose into looks metal but that cant be right

It's not a CU, it's a distribution point for flexible desk power systems. You bang one of these in the middle then you buy units with various combinations of power, data and phone outlets and\or euro module spaces then you plonk it on the desk and the flyleads that come from it get plugged into the relevant services, such as a phone point or one of these power distribution units.

Got a couple in the garage, might take a pic later if I wander past.

http://www.olson.co.uk/office_management.htm That sort of thing, various manufacturers do their own variations of it.

I`ve seen / used those plugs somewhere - can`t remeber where, though....

Think it may have been theatre wiring (stage, not hospital!) ; but not sure.

So annoying when you remember the item, but now where / how you used it.........

I took out 10+ Hager D10's from a board about 10\11 Years ago after doing a PIR and the Zs being too high for them, swapped them for C10's I think. Anyway, finally used one the other Month!

Moral of the story, you never know when it will be useful. ;)

Not that old, I used to fit them. Unless by kids you meant under 10's. ;) Pretty sure I'm not getting old so that can't be it.
