Anybody got any spreadsheets made up for doing my accounts with please?

I've been keeping all the info but have decided it's about time i got on with doing it properly. I was told by an accountant friend of mine that i didn't need to do any accounts for this January 31st as my business started after April 10 2016 but on looking into everything i paid for my part p membership in March so i'll need to do something by the end of the month i think.

Thanks Neil

I think you can add this to your FY2017 tax return as start up costs, along with anything else you spent before you started trading.

Best check with your accountant

I have said on my self employment registration that I started trading on the 13th of March as that was when i made the payment.

I'm speaking with her this  evening so will get confirmation then. Thanks

I did have some spreadsheets for the VAT, which pretty much made up most of what was required for the SA but (for other reasons) use Quickfile and have now started using it for all of my businesses. So much easier to keep track of what is happening rather than wading through homemade spreadsheets and piles of paper on the desk!
