Any favorite grid systems for anyone or are they all as much of a pain as one another. I only have experience using Legrand and MK.

Will any make of grid system work in a standard 25mm back box or do some only work with there own back boxes?

Many Thanks

i think mk must be the easiest although i havnt worked with loads of them, all i can say is hamilton has to be one of the most expensive much to my suprise! i think i was quoted something like

Every worked with "Varlight PowerGrid"???

Cheapest for what i need from TLC....

I have only used the MK system myself and find them easy enough to work with and they tend to be reliable too :)

any experience with a grid system not fitting in a standard 25mm back box?

do you mean a surface or recessed box? if its surface MK do boxes designed to take the grid.

25mm metal recessed box. Already installed in the wall and now want to install a grid system. Have i got to replace the box with a grid manufactures specific system now?

I only work with the MK range.

One problem I have found is the dimmer range which takes up two slots in the grid (1000watt).

Overheating is another problem and I try to use a deep box if I can.
