youtube vid

so we use SFCU in bathrooms now? no mention of where it can be used etc

he is also showing off his test kit in the vid - a nice cheap neon screwdriver!

then there is this

just as bad. and apparantly 'in' & 'out' markings are confusing - be aware! make sure you get this right!

and to top it off, the SFCU is broken

Cheap imports, PITA.

I'd quite happily pop round and chin the clueless ****. Winds me up, especially knowing that some people will have watched that drivel and thought 'yeah, that's handy that, glad I found this site'.

Ah I see now it all makes sense in = supply and out = load. I will sleep well tonight.....
You know it works just as well the other way round. ;)

Positive and a Negative in a Light Switch...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ctRsH992Tk
WTF is he on about, what's the bathroom and wet hands got to do with it.

The plastering we had done in the hallway started to crack after 2 weeks . We complained to you and we are still waiting for the handyman to come back and repair it 2 weeks after we complained to you Please let us know if you will be sending another plasterer to fix the problem. If we do not here from you in the next week then we will take action Mary G. Firstly he is referring to the switch as a socket, then he's saying it has a positive and a negative. Then he says if you are not sure get on of our electricians out to check it for you! I don't think so! If he's a spark I'm the stig!

I'd also punch him for continually whacking the switch\socket with a screwdriver.

I like the way he explained the fundamental rule - LIKE TURNING IT OFF FIRST!
I think that was meant to be implied by the fact that part way through the video a cheap torch with a flat battery made an appearance. It's an IQ\spot the difference\observation test as well as a KIY video.
