But just so you are aware, this is classed as notifiable electrical work (special location), so be careful..

its all about if your cable can carry the proposed fault of 16a MCB or not tho, not the proposed load.

if you must, here is how Id advise to bodge it up.

JB the circuit concerned and run a 2.5 T&E to a (surface) box above the bathroom door (on the outside) with your RCD/FCU fitted here, then you can run a 1.5 to a flex outlet point close to your towel rail inside the bathroom.

you would be closer to satisfying the regs (and a helluva lot safer) this way.

The Don's assumes you mean a RCD FCU, if it outside of Zone 2 (17th edition), then there is no issue of concern.

(Common sense prevail still, in the position of such an item)
