on a industrial scale if a if the custormer supplied a spure unit for a heater would you use a minor works from the spure upto the heat as addition to exsisting circuit and how would you get on with the controls for the heater would this need certing as well

and with a 2392 would you be able to issue certs for this type of installation

thanks moose man

Just one minor works certificate for the new heater and controls. You only need to be competent to sign a certificate so qualifications dont make any difference although can be a way of proving competence.

sorry about confusion last minute at work thanks andy for simplefieing the post reason i ask is a heating contractor phone me today at last minuit asking the question about them installing new heaters when customer supplies a new fcu connection they only connect up to fcu which would supply an isolater for the controls and heater

i was under the impression that this would be classed as a addition to exsisting circuit ie new fcu

so minor works cert required thats why i mentioned 2392 as competence to prove there addition complys to current standard bs7671 2008
