A. Continuous ventilation systems should not allow the occupier to turn off the fan other than at the local isolator. Provision of an on/off function will result in the fans being operated intermittently and the required continuous air flow ventilation rates not being achieved.

So a local isolator is needed then ? I must be reading this wrong as the above  statement contradicts itself as a local isolator is an on/off function.

 
This came up on the BPEC course and I thought the same thing. Because System 3 contains both cMEV & dMEV I think by "local isolator" they mean the one next to the main unit on a cMEV.

Seems to be open to interpretation like a lot of other thing in the regs.
