According to the Hive installation guide, my old British Gas UP2 control panel is compatible with the new Hive dual channel receiver. However, the metal contacts in ports 1 and 2 are missing on the back plate. There are wires connected to both these terminals but I can't see how they can connect to the UP2. Again according to the instal guide these are the terminals used for Hot Water Off (NC) and Heating Off (NC). Is this going to be a problem for the Hive does anyone know?

Well, I know what you mean! As I had this a couple,of weeks ago

the prannock that installed the system ( in my case) used these terminals as 'joints' and shoved the actual, terminal, connection down and out of the way

he had even connected the earths to one of them...apart from the fact it was wired wrong AND there were nor enough cores at the Y valve connection in the cylinder cupboards
