Hob nuisance trips and makes RCD buzz!

Does this only happen when it is raining/snowing/freezing cold?

The reason I ask is that My Brother-in-law, had an intermittent fault of the main RCD tripping in his house. (when it was raining heavy, etc).

The fault turned out to be a S/O in his garage that was FULL of water. (Mini Trunking and surface mounted S/Os)

Found several other faults too.

Think it's only happened in clement weather conditions so far....

It is indeed a bit of a mystery, but I will keep you all informed.
