Hi, I’ve got a 240v 4500 watt heating element and am trying to figure out how to safely connect it to mains, thanks in advance for any help.
Okay thanks! Is there anyway I could DIY that? What amps would the circuit have to be?So you will need a dedicated new circuit from your fuseboard

(Is it an idiot proof task)
Yea that’s what confuses me what is the point of a 16amp abb adapter in the first place if the fuse is only going to be 13 ampThe fuse in that plug will probably last about 7 seconds
well 20a is still above 16 of the other plug anyway so still useless....Yea that’s what confuses me what is the point of a 16amp abb adapter in the first place if the fuse is only going to be 13 amp
I wouldn't say the sellers/importers are thicker than mince and doubt if it has a CE mark. I think if there is no CE mark then it may possibly be illegal to sell in the uk.Yea that’s what confuses me what is the point of a 16amp abb adapter in the first place if the fuse is only going to be 13 amp
It didn’t come with any instructions unfortunately, got it off Amazon from China: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B08L76R75Z?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
