It is illegal (and yes, it results in a fine). Of course the vote does not have to be a valid vote, although in my opinion it is anti-democratic to require people to vote. Not exactly illegal , I believe , but a $20 fine if you don't , turn out is very high I'm told.
Brum Crumbly? Not saying eh!! I would have voted for them but strangely there is no Pliad Crumbley candidate here .
They had since 07:00 in the morning until 22:00 at night a total of 15 hours and they leave it to the last minute to vote, who is to blame??200 people refused a vote as they were still que'ing at 10pm when polling stations closed in Brum.Same story in some other places so I'm told.
It took me about 10 seconds to vote once they had handed me the slip. I have waited 10 minutes for a booth to become free before. Some idiots seem to wait until they get there to make their minds up. I reckon you could easily get three people through a booth per minute. They had since 07:00 in the morning until 22:00 at night a total of 15 hours and they leave it to the last minute to vote, who is to blame??
may have been stuck in the queue since 9?I'd like to know why they waited till 10.00 PM to vote ,bet they went to the pub first.
i could snigger at this and twist it in to something rude, but im not that immature...........heheheheheheheheI am up most mornings early, my wife awakens at 05.30 every day, then gives me a bashing until I have to get up LOL
Thats one of the reasons i do postal vote.I think turnout was a lot larger than normal there where some on news that had been waiting 1 1/2 hrs in que.
