Come back after a few days away from site and my sockets and spurs have been replaced with this lovely glass work. God only knows what the Polish kitchen fitter has done with them. Time to break the news it's all got to come off again. View attachment 3742

Was that in the specifications?

Kitchens are probably THE thing that gives most trouble in a new build. Usually because at some point between first fix and the kitchen fitters arriving, everything, including the cooker and sink, has moved from the original plan. but of course they never think to tell the electrician that he might need to come and make some alterations. Not until as in your case, it's all a bit too late.

We had 2 kitchens with glass backsplash and they templated the walls, but they could not do that until we had 1st Fixed.

Had one issue though, when they arrived we had a gap of 35mm between cooker isolation and fcu for extract, the guy advised that they could only cut glass to 50mm gap between, so we had to quickly move the fcu 15mm.

Looked nice when finished but was not keen on screwing faceplates back, one turn too many and oh s**t.
