hey guys,

showing my lack of knowledge again in three phase, but got my 2391 practical coming up and not sure bout this.

If there is an isolator/starter from a 3phase DB supplying a 3 phase socket, how would I go about testing it?

im presuming open the isolator and do an normal I.R test from the DB and then.....?

thanks guys.

Socket would be a 'commando' type. You would need to test from the bottom of the commando socket up to the starter . I'm doing 2391 Myself in Jan, is the motor a single phase/line via a DOL ?. If motor is 3ph then is it a balanced load motor ? no neutral!! There's bound to be someone that's recently done 2391 to put me right.. :)

Don't take this the wrong way but if you are asking questions like this are you sure you are ready and able to pass the course?
