After not much help from icon thought I'd ask here!

After 4 months a customers fan stopped working, checked the humidistat and it was kicking out 230v to the fan. So changed for a new fan, a week later the same!

Only thing I can think of is that the wind has damaged the fan putting it under strain? But I wouldn't have thought that would really blow the motor!

Any ideas?

Wouldn't failing after 4 months just be manufactures warranty replacement, no need for you to mess around identifying the cause. If their replacements also fail, get a refund and fit a different make.

Hi Sellers,

I have had problems with airflow Icon this year and they do have a 3 year guarantee as you know. The trouble is that you phone up, speak to someone in the technical dept but apart from the once when I called mostly it was just a reception/ admin person without the technical knowledge who would pass on a message.

I know its a pain but maybe try one more replacement fan body.

I cant see the attraction with Icon fans, bloody expensive, not much power in the motor & i could read The Sun whilst having a long No2 (especially after the homemade garlic chicken the other night), wash my hands and leave the room before the shutter opens.
