looking at the images, i wonder why there is nothing to stop a vehicle hitting that wall head on. even a crash barrier would probably have been enough to shift the coach over enough to avoid as much death

Its sad and such a tragic incident! Its even more sad to think that 22 children have lost their lives and 24 more that will be affected psychologically after the incident, affected so severely that they may never be able to live there lives complete!

I hope the families of all the ones whom have passed on to a better life gain answers as to what happend! so they can mourn their loss and obtain some kind of closure! but in all honesty i dont think any of their lives will ever be anywhere near content anymore!

Sad Indictment of humanity that things like this have to happen BEFORE action is taken to enforce child safety ...buses/seatbelts.

Lets Hope it never happens again.

At such an early stage with so little factual information at hand..

I would be very careful about commenting or assuming anything about probable causes and or what safety measures were or were not in place,

or what could or should have been done.

All that I can say is that every parent anywhere in the world who has every packed their child off on a school trip,...

and has stood outside a school in the early hours of the morning, waving goodbye to those small faces in the coach windows...

expecting them to come back home in a week or so with stories of their adventure...

Will have some level of understanding of the grief and shock that those poor families are just starting to come to terms with.

Families, schools and communities will all have a massive gap made in their lives.
