No ,why Steps ? Is it the King Billy stuff again , I know they hate Rangers and Everton hates Liverpool for similar reasons I think. In the Midlands they just hate each other for no particular reason. So Villa & Blues hate each other , Albion hate Villa and Wolves , Wolves just hate Albion and Villa hates Albion but not Wolves . Religion doesn't come into it they just hate each other for the sake of it . ( Much simpler) But all will join together in their hatred of London clubs and Man Utd. Then Liverpool and Newcastle are respected .

Its a tribal thing which I find ridiculous TBH

All this started in the 60s round here ,because in the 50s many Villa supporters would watch Birmingham or WBA if Villa were away , but that is unheard of now .

Still with football, the Scots hate England for historical reasons and will support anyone who plays against them , the English have learnt to hate back.

The English don't hate the Welsh or the Irish or the Republic but do hate Germany and Argentina . Then I've heard of quite a few Irish who support Ireland and England ,saying its the country they've been able live and work in and bring up their families in . I respect that more than the Scottish hatred which probably goes back to Culloden or the Clearances , none of which is connected with the English of today .
no, the celtic supporters were having a bash at the poppy too,

dont they realise lots of irish catholics died during the Great War too.? F'in idiots.!

The word "HATE" is a powerful and terrible word often misused and abused.

HATE is IMHO a deep and personal feeling but I also believe that hate is either often misquoted or represented.

personally I do not hate either Catholics, protestants Muslims or any football club, nationality or people.

Yes, I have my dislikes and like any other person probably far too many of them but to get back to the original thread my biggest dislike is what our government is doing to OUR country which brings us back to Muslims and many other nationalities.

This is OUR country it is known as "GREAT BRITAIN" and also the name "UNITED KINGDOM" so why oh why do I receive official forms written not only in English but also in many other languages.

I was in France on holiday when I walked into a shop and asked the assistant...."do you speak English"

Oh yes said the assistant......but only when I visit England as this is France, my home country.

This brought home to me just how arrogant we can be at times but for the country to attempt to integrate other languages by printing them on official documents is not encouraging those foreigners to learn our language at all.

I have no objection to these people settling in OUR country my objection is them attempting to take over and demand we change our culture.

Britain, United Kingdom, where have you gone what happened to the country I loved so dearly ???????????

I grew up in a country like that too ,BWY, !!!

I feel a wave of patriotism coming on and make no excuses for quoting Sir Winston Churchill.

" I am a great admirer of the Scots. I am quite friendly with the Welsh. I confess to some sentiment about old Ireland. But there is a forgotten ,nay, almost forbidden word ,which means more to me than any other.

That word is England.

It humbled the pride of the tyrant and brought hope to the oppressed.

To the lover of freedom it was the one sure rock in a sea of shifting sans.

But today we are scarcely allowed to mention the name of our country. Let our patriotism begin at home.

It is not enough to have the name England on our lips. We must also revive the old qualities -the old spirit . "

Im not really bothered as to what it says. and make no bones about being able to understand it,

but at least it is a statement of pride.

albeit in some childish gibberish only about 12 people understand,.!
