I'll say one thing for Hitler , he knew how to drum up a crowd.

the thing with Hitler is this,,

and this will draw a big row,

IMHO

He was a VERY smart man, but he implemented his ideas very badly

and then as his power got stronger , he tended to push his power even more,

and then he just went totally over the edge and got a lot of things wrong.

but, anyone tell me a better orator of the past 500 years.?

Dave Allen :)   . Lloyd George  JFK and Robert Kennedy, Marin luther King . I can think of many  that I think were better speakers than Hitler. Hitler had fear and poverty on his side.

Churchill  was an artistocratic patriot and a great man .

Hitler put people back to work and offered hope to a nation reeling from the loss of a major war. People do have aa bad habit of following 'strong' leadership when times are hard. Jews were sacapegoats to pin troubles on, and in some ways it was good for us that he did, otherwise they probably would have developed nuclear bombs, and WW2 might have ended very differently.

wasn't his reasoning that he was punishing them for the  "Balfour Agreement"  ?

I don't know about that TBH   Stepps ....wasn't it that they owned many of the businesses in Germany at the time .?

I see where you're coming from with Hitler , I don't speak German but you can see that he has 1000's of people in the palm of his hand  at those rallies .

from what I understand he blamed them for continuing the Great War after a Status Quo had been offered,

thus causing the mindless slaughter of millions more people [in Hilter's view, more Germans]

but yes, no matter what you think of the mans views, he certainly knew how to get a peoples attention and have them do his will.

So what are you saying ......Status Quo were supposed to be performing at that rally ...didn't show up ..and they blamed the Jews.      I have their first record , on a shellac  78rpm  disc ,   called Goose Steppin'  all over the World .  :innocent

If you've not watched it "Hitler the rise of evil" is a good series & shows how he learnt the art of suggestive speeches & using gestures.
