I tried tapatalk once,
Couldn't get on with it at all,
Im currently logged in on at least 4 devices, all running Linux of one form or another, no issues.

We have been asked to look at this thread as it appears Sidewinder has been getting wound up.
He will be dealt with in due course, in private.
We are asking you to please understand that we do not run this forum as a means to make huge profits.
What Mr Sidewinder has suggested, which he should not have, is however correct.
We run the forum for the benefit of its members, yes it has to cover its costs, however, all of the moderators and Admin staff are unpaid volunteers.
As The Four Horsemen, we take nothing in the way of wages from the forum.
We take no dividends, in fact we also do this for the benefit of the forum.
We ensure that it can cover its overheads, and that it has sufficient funds to deal with any increases in cost due to increased forum traffic, increased software costs, server costs etc. but, we do not do this for the money.
Again, unfortunately for Mr Sidewinder, he was too close to the truth, in that we do almost run this as a charity, though, not in the true sense of the word.
This forum is run for the benefit of its members and to promote safety and electrical knowledge first and foremost.
Should you have any further queries on how this forum is run, please feel free to PM us and we will advise you appropriately.

There’s only one engineering forum I know of that pays its moderators and it ain’t this one. That is unless SW is running a multi-million $ organisation on the side.

Well fwiw, I happen to enjoy this site, I have none of the issues that have been described, I pretty much use only my mobile (iPhone) to view the site, it never logs me out (maybe because I view the site most days!?), I never get a white screen, I've had an occasional issue logging in if there's been an upgrade but a courteous email to admin and I'm back in business.
So I'd like to congratulate and thank those that operate the site for a sterling job well done IMO.
