At least he had the guts to stand up and say what most of us think.

Charity begins at home and we should stop sending this money abroad to countries that don't need it

You can't say anything these days .    He was interviewed on local radio and I liked his reply to ..."  Are you a racist and are you insulting people?"

His repy:-

" How can I be a rasist to,   and insult a non existent country?"

Long live Bongo-Bongo Land!!

Not knowing what or where bongo bongo land is I can't see how anyone would be offended.

Done a bit of research turns out its Cuba, has this been in the news over there? Have we got any Cuban members to ask?

Red wine banned ?
Fixed for you :slap

Well I have heard that you can get a house in a nice area and more money than you need (you could easily send some back home)
Can we define "nice area" please?

Can we also define "more money than I need"? Does that have ANY bearing on the amount of money my wife thinks she needs???

That's a long winded way to gain quailes in electrics, I've heard they do it in 5weeks in the UK?
Its also a far more lucrative way to do it, I assume...

I read a fascinating book about Mobutu Sase-Seko of Zaire.

He was ripping off the country to the tune of about 25% at

least of the GDP of that country. I was amazed to hear the

eloquence of all of his ministers given that he had shut the

education system down and stopped all means by which

the rest of the population sought to better themselves.

Maybe they and all of their progeny had been sent from Bongo

Bongo land to be educated here.

Possibly Evans;  the whole of the book outlined the tragedy of

the Congo and the mineral riches that lie there.  President

Kennedy was a big mate of Mobuto but if you could only look

at his bedside library you MAY have had a clue as to why he

remained in power for so long.

Bugger all compared to what Mugabe is ripping off in Zimbabwe

+ 1 to that.  I was speaking to a South African in 1994/5 and

he was absolutely fearful of the possible consequences. He

feared then that Zimbabwe would be turned into a net grain

importer and anyone not in Mugabe's tribe would soon be

dispossessed.

Look at the carnage that followed.

One of those countries , in the 70's I think,  had it's people starving on the streets but the president was having a golden throne made to match his gold painted Rolls Royce.

Did anyone think Mugabi would NOT win the recent election.

What was it :-

To control a country you need :-

The army on your side .

Make the intelligencia dissapear .

Control the news media .

And you got it made !     Shades of Nazi Germany .

Watch this space;  Mugabe has signed (over the weekend) to

supply Iran with Pitchblende, the natural ore from which you

can derive uranium, using hexafluoride separators.
