Just had a call from a comany calling themselves Reaccess, never heard of them myself.

"We have a customer that has no power, do you cover the RG18 area"

Yes

"how it works is the customer doesnt give you any payment, you invoice us for your call out & any parts used, the customer them pays us via their insurance policy & we pay you 90% of your total invoice"

Well I cant do anything I've had 3 beers.

"we could wait untill tomorrow, I just need to fax the contract to you & for you to return by fax"

Still no good as I couldnt do anything untill Wednesday at the earliest (now this is where the beer gets the better of me Guinness :D ) give me the details & i'll call the customer & arrange a few mins to drop in & take a look.

The bloke hung up on me ROTFWL

No wonder insurance costs are so high if these companies are skimming 10% off.

Oh well back to the Guinness

No such company registered with companies house mate.......

Odd; think i`d have been a bit suss too.

So you`ve got to add 10% to your bill before sending it to `em, eh? Sounds a bit rum.

Neither am I.......
Relevance? ?:|

Unless you didn't understand the concept that MOST reputable insurance companies are NOT sole traders maybe? :|

But I would never dare to assume you weren't that bright?

I suspect most other intelligent forum members reading understood the context;)B-)

I will just add for clarity..

I am not an insurance company either.................??? ]:) :p

Only a Ltd company would be registered;)
That's what I was trying to say, obviously a bit too subtle with it though as not everyone got it it seems.

If you could just tell me at which point I didn't understand the context that would be good.

FYI, this company that is being talked about in the thread isn't claiming to be an insurance company. Need help with the context? ;)

Stand back, toys flying!

And neither are they claiming to be an Electrical contractor..

Nor a Customer...

so who else in the "middle man format" would you suggest they relate to???

context help:-

FYI.. It is not uncommon for many maintenance / support service / warranty provider organisations to be a "middle-man" who just act as third -party broker between customer & INSURANCE provider.

Which in essence is an Insurance related product. ;) hope this clears it up a bit? :)

[it is a similar model to your Supermarket offering car insurance or credit cards or bank loans......

They just buy the service's from another Third party provider]

Are you reading a different thread?
FFS! Why do you have to be so argumentative?

If you try sitting quietly, and back-reading the forum, you`ll note that, for the most part, everyone is so simmered and easy-going on here, we can post ourselves to sleep......Zzzzzzz

`Pache. Any chance of prescribing Mssr. Lurch a little something? 10mg Diazepam should do, d`ya think.

Alright, steady on, that was last week. I've forgotten about it now, no need to drag it up again. I say what I'm thinking, 5 minutes later I'm thinking something else, that's it.
