Insurance quotes...........advice

Hi Guys

I have been asked to provide an insurance quote for an electrical fire which has left some of the circuits damaged

do you have any pointers as to what they would require ????

how much over do you quote ????

how quick do you normally get paid....

Fire brigade pulled the cut out (but we cant !!!!!) and the DNO checked and refitted it so it cant be that bad.....

definately try and PIR first matey.

PIR to start with to assess damage, then price repairs from there. or if they wont go with that, give them a full re-wire price

went and had alook at the job

wylex rewireable

8.5 kw shower less than 10m away from board

fuse holder burnt with flames and fuse wire popped

at the shower the connections on the incomer ok but other internal wiring burnt

My issue !!!!!

fire brigade pulled fuse ok....i suppose

DNO took cover off board pulled shower wire out and removed fuse holder

checks adjacent fuse holder and its ok

replaces cut out fuse and leaves !!!!!

doesnt bother to put the fuseboard cover back on !!!!!!!

I have done a huge amount of insurance work, and they generally want at least 2 or 3 quotes and only want the work to be installed to the original condition. However, its not always possible, for example if there are is RCD protection or main bonding, you can word the quote to say as a
