In the office again.
Had a call on Tuesday to look at a premises for PIR..... Just been there this evening.

Its a fishing holiday centre, with caravan hookups, log cabins, chalets, shop, shower block, owners premises etc. He also wants PAT tests on items (maybe 200 approx). No previous paperwork, no "next inspection" stickers, partial rewire 3 years ago (no paperwork), no schedule etc......

Its going to be a buggr to price up - on both counts. May just estimate days for work, and go in on day rate..........?

hourly rate would be best to ensure no loss but then the fruits of good profit are gone if there is any.

no doubt he'll be more comforatble with a fixed price but then it may ultimately be high for you to ensure break even/profit and lose the job.

a tuffie

At a guess, two days PIR, three days PAT? And lots of traisping about.

How did you price it?

Two days? For how many people?

You`ll be almost a full day on main distribution and submain tracing.

I`ve priced it at 8 days (including time off-site to type up cert) for PIR, and

Aye - Thought of that. AND some are occupied :( Plus, I wanted to cover some of my time on the PATting - as I said, I may not get it at that cost, but hey-ho. If I do, it`ll be worth ruddy doing!
